Scope & Content One folder of materials relating to the 1849 Flag. A note in the folder indicates that the flag was "remembered by many residents as flown by William B. Wilber from the trees in front of...[the] Old Meeting House." Includes a facsimile from the curator of Sutter's Fort State Historical Monument where the original flag was when the document was written in 1954. Additionally, there are two letters with further information, a photograph of the flag being flown in 1945 and a replica of the flag made of construction paper.
