Object Name Sidesaddle
Description Leather side saddle used for an extra passenger on the rear of the horse. Also known as a "pillion". Leather padded seat cushion stuffed with feathers. Arched metal back-rest post. Leather straps with metal buckles to hold seat to horse. Leather belted straps with metal buckles attached to a small wood foot-rest covered in leather. Under portion of leather seat is stuffed cloth backing to form cushioned barrier between rider and horse. Upper leather cushion is stitched to the bottom cloth cushion by stitiching all around the border of the object.
