Mrs. Josephine Field Wilbur (1875-1923), presented these gold pins to graduating pupils.

|Provenance||Note in frame reads: "Little Compton did not have a high school in 1915. Josephine Field Wilbur, 1875-1923, ran a small private school and also taught in the public school system. She tutored several young people beyond the grade school system offered by the town. This pin, by family legend, was presented to either Louise or Grace Simmons by Mrs. Wilbur to mark completion of high school."|
