Object Name Calliope
Description Rectangle shape wooden calliope. Along top edge are ten small holes, along with ten matching holes on front of instrument. These small whistles are used when playing the instrument. A black and white label across the front of the object depicts several scenes, including a group of people at center, one playing a drum and another the calliope while two children look on. Flanking this center image are black cats in various settings. Label reads across bottom: "PATENTED AUG 20 1889 CALLIOPE THE B & B MFG CO NORWALK CT"
