Large hand-embroidered tablecloth. The width of the tablecloth has a predominantly green edge pattern approximately 4.75 inches wide. Two 5/8 inch bars on each side are embroidered with holly leaves and berries. The center portion is a floral pattern with interlocking and winding vines. Approximately 16 inches interior to that is a largely black and red paisley pattern. Inward from that is a pentagonal pattern, predominantly coral, 7 inches at its deepest points and approximately 1/8 inch at its narrowest points (connecting the pentagons). Surrounding these is a 1 inch wide paisley-inspired stitching. In the middle is a black field of unembroidered cloth with green red and black paisley shapes reaching from the 4 corners toward the center. Working from the length, it has a predominantly red version of the previously described green border on the length. A 14 inch wide red and black paisley pattern follows. After that, it picks up the pentagonal pattern & black interior described above. |
