Provenance |
On bottom of rock: "This buckle-mold was found in the summer of 1900, a little east of the residence of Mr. Simon Allen and was presented to the Town of Little Compton by Rev. Edgar F. Clark, with the hope that it might form a nucleus for a COLLECTION OF ANCIENT RELICS of this early DAUGHTER of PLYMOUTH, Mass. Jan 30th 1904." The stone was in the town hall from 1904 until 1984, when it was turned over to the Little Compton Historical Society. |
